• În Montreal, creatoarea de modă, în prezent fără activitate, Sophie Malaterre (Karine Vanasse), este chemată de Claire Maras (Maxim Roy) să-i arate şefului ei creaţiile sale. Când Sophie ajunge la companie, Claire îşi cere scuze şi îi spune că şeful ei este plecat într-o vacanţă şi se va întoarce abia peste două luni. Pentru a se revanşa, Claire o invită pe Sophie să ia prânzul împreună şi apoi îi povesteşte despre site-ul switch.com, unde oamenii se pot înscrie şi pot face schimb de apartamente cu străinii pe timpul vacanţei. Lui Sophie îi surâde ideea şi caută un apartament în Paris, în apropierea Turnului Eiffel şi găseşte exact ceea ce îi trebuie, iar acesta îi aparţine lui Bénédicte Serteaux (Karina Testa), care este de acord cu schimbul.

In Montreal, the unemployed fashion designer Sophie Malaterre is shown a website, switch.com, where it is possible to switch houses with a stranger for vacation. Sophie seeks an apartment in Paris nearby the Eiffel Tower that belongs to Bénédicte Serteaux and they change apartments. Sophie arrives in Paris on Saturday morning. The next morning, policemen break in the apartment and arrest Sophie while she is having a bath. Detective Damien Forgeat interrogates Sophie believing that she is Bénédicte and she learns that a beheaded body was found in her room and all evidence of her life has been deleted.
